These past weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind.   One of our dearest friends died and we took a P day excursion to be with this family.       Remember the directions?  This week it was turn at the pile of tires.  You can’t really see the tires, but you do see a beautiful sunset.    And this dirt road went on forever.   Remember our time dilemma?  We missed a meeting because I thought it was one time zone and Rich thought it was another time zone.  We are getting better at being specific which time zone we are talking about.     It’s a windmill and it’s going into a water tank.  Of course , we need to check and see if there is water in the tank.  Nope – bone dry.  Please pray for moisture for this region.            It’s a road he says.   We had a relief society birthday party on the 17 th .  The Relief Society P resident did a marvelous job. Her humble history of this great organization gave me pause as I contemplated the great sisterhood that I am part of.  But, I knew that I wa

TIME It's all about Time A couple of weeks ago we had a call with the Senior Missionaries in our Mission. They spent a lot of time talking about the upcoming time change.  I admit, I may not have paid attention.  And last night the time changed.  I now know why they spent so much time discussing that subject.  Our current home  is in Arizona.  Arizona does not use daylight savings time.   We are one mile from the Utah border.  Utah does go on daylight savings time.  Our area of the Navajo Reservation takes in parts of Utah and Arizona but it does use daylight savings time.  So when we woke up this morning.  Alexa thought she was in Utah.  Rich's phone thought he was in Arizona and my phone thought I was in Utah/Reservation.  Church used to be at 9:30 - well it's still at 9:30 Arizona time - but we are on the reservation so I think ( that's how confused I really am) that it started at 10:30.  I didn't even dare look at my watch.  We were the speakers so we made sure

Week 2 What happens when a turtle is married to the energizer bunny?   I’m not sure – I’ll let you know if the turtle ever gets out of bed.   For our pickleball friends -   There is a chapel in Page that has one court taped.   And it’s only a 20 minute drive to get from our little abode to the church.   Because we play with the junior missionaries that have to be done fairly early in the morning – we have to leave much earlier than the turtle wants.   The energizer bunny is happy and joyful.   If you have to get up early at least you get a beautiful view.     For our biking friends.  We have found a 3.5 mile loop around our area that is safe and wouldn’t you know it – has it’s fair share of hills.  There may be a bit of work to do here.  There were 6 members at church Sunday.  That’s because it snowed.  I’m not sure what would happen if a big snowstorm came.  Let’s talk about distances.  I get feeling sorry for myself when I have to travel more than 30 minutes to get into do
